Who we are

Kelly Bender serves as the Executive Director of Mosaic Community Development Center. She has a B.A. in Health and Physical Education and a M. Ed. in Educational Administration, both from Cedarville University (OH). She has been with Mosaic Community Church since its inception in 2015. By doing life in the community and with the church, her understanding of the barriers others face to move from need to development was completely transformed over the years. In 2022, Kelly became the first Executive Director of MCDC in hopes to provide the support system needed to meet needs and transform lives in our community. Kelly is married to Kevin. They have two children, Kali and Levi.

Joanie Peterson is the Director of the Out-of-School Time Programs. She lives in Jeannette with her husband and two children and has always had a deep passion for working with children. With over ten years of experience, including time as a second-grade teacher, Joanie is dedicated to helping each child grow in all areas of development—academically, socially, and linguistically. She embraces the daily challenge of guiding children through this journey and is committed to fostering a positive and fun learning environment that supports their growth and potential.
